Polyethylene slides provide an exhilarating experience, and are often the excitement that encourages children to climb. Our slides are rotationally molded polyethylene with UV stabilizing additives.
Generally, slides do not provide a particular exercise benefit, but are included for the sheer fun of sliding through space. However, they are thought to help children develop balance (particularly dynamic balance as children are required to maintain balance as they move under the force of gravity).
The slides weighs approximately 48 pounds and has a minimum of 4” side walls. The overall length is approximately 8’ and the slide incorporates raised cones on the underside to facilitate the joining of the slide surface and the underside wall for rigidity.
Manufacturer assumes no written or implied responsibility for product use or misuse, location or choice of surroundings, installation or other possible safety hazards. See “Recommended Safety Checklist” below. Please note that plastic slides can create electrostatic charges sufficient to undermine the use of cochlear implants among hearing impaired children.

Recommended Safety Checklist
It is recommended that surfaces around play equipment have at least 12 inches of wood chips, mulch, sand, or pea gravel, or mats made of safety-tested rubber or rubber-like materials.
Check that protective surfacing extends at least 6 feet in all directions from play equipment. For swings, be sure surfacing extends, in back and front, twice the height of the suspending bar.
Play structures more than 30 inches high should be spaced at least 9 feet apart.
Use extreme caution during erection paying very close attention to dangerous hardware, like open "S" hooks or protruding bolt ends.
Make sure spaces that could trap children, such as openings in guardrails or between ladder rungs, measure less than 3.5 inches or more than 9 inches.
Periodically check for sharp points or edges in equipment.
Plan your layout to avoid tripping hazards, like exposed concrete footings, tree stumps, and rocks.
Check local codes and make sure elevated surfaces, like platforms and ramps, have guardrails to prevent falls.
Check playgrounds regularly to see that equipment and surfacing are in good condition.
Carefully supervise children on playgrounds to make sure they're safe.
